Raheem Sterling becomes the latest player to join New Balance alongside Sadio Mané






New Balance have signed Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling after his contract with Nike elapsed 

Sterling's deal with Nike ended at the end of last season and he has been mulling over a lot of lucrative offers from all the major sportswear giants included Adidas 

Puma proposed a £100M deal to Sterling but he rejected it as he wanted in excess of £150M. Puma did not accept because of the fallout of the Coronavirus pandemic which has affected their finances 



And now American firm New Balance have won the race to land the global superstar, with the pair set to collaborate across performance and lifestyle products 

After signing the deal Sterling said to the media;


There's so much more I want to achieve, both on and off the pitch, and this partnership will provide me with the platform to do so.' Growing up all I dreamt of was playing football,

'From kicking a ball around in Brent with my mates to my first Champions League Final on May 29th and representing my country at this summer's European Championships, in my hometown. 

 

Rash Sports News understands, it is a long-term deal and the financial package is yet to be communicated

Azamati finishes 4th

 TOKYO 2020: Azamati finishes 4th in Heat 7   Ghana's Benjamin Azamati failed to qualify to the semi-final after he finished 4th in the Men's 100m Heat 7 with 10.13 seconds  He was alongside the likes of Jamaican legend Yohan Blake, who is a 100m silver medalist from London 2012, Chidinju Uja from Great Britain, Austria's Rohan Browning, Kwadwo Musah of Denmark and other top talents in the category After the race, he took to Twitter to apologize to Ghanaians and this is what he wrote; " Sorry Nation! I couldn’t turn up . Things will get better next time . Realized my mistakes and i would take it from there . Happy for the support from y’all! I feel loved and mentally i am there . I will keep my head up and focus on the next race ! "  Though Azamati is out of the 100m Heat, he still has a chance to make amends in the 4×100 relay

Varane Officially unveiled

 Manchester United: Rafael Varane unveiled today Manchester United have officially unveiled Rafael Varanë today after a deal was agreed a  fortnight ago with Real Madrid and personal terms agreed too. The deal was delayed because Varane needed to quarantine for some days due to COVID-19 protocols in England The French defender served 10 years at Madrid and won numerous trophies including 4 Champions League titles and one of the most successful players in the competition The deal is understood be around £45M with £35M upfront and the rest in add-ons.
