 GIJ: SRC GAMES BEGINS TODAY AS PART OF THE SRC WEEK CELEBRATION By Asiamah Kwasi Frempong  The SRC Games begins today at the El-Wak Sports Stadium with students eager to see their teams succeed in various disciplines. The games are part of the SRC WEEK CELEBRATION this semester and will end tomorrow. It will start from 9:30am through to 6pm. Teams who win in various competions will receive Gold medals, trophy and prizes from the SRC but the prize money is unknown as of now.  Dr. Prosper Nettey Ogum: Asante Kotoko coach resigns after one year stint with the club  Story by: Asiamah Kwasi Frempong  18:30 GMT  Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach, Dr. Prosper Nettey Ogum has resigned from his position at the club due to player exodus and unpaid salaries, sources have told Rash Sports News.  This comes as a shock after winning his first ever title with the club as well as recording unprecedented victories at certain grounds at the just ended Ghana Premier League for Asante Kotoko.  The astute and knowledgeable coach recently shared his plans for the upcoming season and emphasised on how important next season's CAF Champions League is important to him in an interview with a Kumasi-based radio station recently, but it seems all have been shattered as he has tend in a resignation letter.  The management of the club are in limbo of his decision and are finding possible solutions at the moment as they seek to convince the coach to rescind his decision.  Follow this blog

Barcelona in talks to sign Xavi

 BARCELONA IN TALKS TO SIGN NEW COACH  Barcelona are in talks to sign Al Sadd manager Xavi Hernández after manager Ronald Koeman was sacked right after their loss to Rayo Vellacano last Wednesday night. Koeman was sacked because of poor results he's churned out recently with Laporta stating that he should have been sacked long ago Looking back it is easy to analyse, we felt Koeman deserved confidence to recover some injured players and it was a way to motivate the manager. “I looked for some positives.
