Bellingham becomes the most expensive 17-year-old in history after joining the German giants

Borussia Dortmund has signed the Birmingham youth product for an initial fee of £25M. He completed his medicals last week Thursday in Germany before penning a long-term contract with the club.

Dortmund convinced him to sign for them at the expense of Manchester United who also made him an offer. Manchester United took a step further in convincing the boy to join them by giving him a tour around their AON Training Complex with Sir Alex Fegurson and Eric Cantona which sources told Rash Sports News that the 'boy was excited in the adventure' and loved the idea of joining Manchester United.

Bellingham chose Borussia Dortmund because he felt he will get more playing time there than at Manchester United. He believes he will get more playing time to aid his development with Dortmund having a legacy of nurturing young talented players to become world class. A source close to the player told Rash Sports News that 'he wanted to go the Sancho way'.

Rash Sports News understands that Birmingham will receive £25M upfront plus add-ons depending on appearances, milestones and achievements.

Bellingham told the club website after completing the move saying;
"I am increasingly excited to have joined one of Europe's biggest clubs. The direction they are heading in and how much they help to improve young players made it an easy decision for myself and my family" .

BVB courted the midfielder for more than two years amid stiff competition from elite European clubs, including Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and most notably Manchester United.

Rash Sports News understands that Manchester United made close relationship with his family and club stuffs in order to persuade the player in joining them but the boy chose Borussia Dortmund because of their rich history in young talents.
