Yacouba leaves Kotoko

Songné Yacouba leaves Kotoko in search for foreign club

He left Kotoko after his contract expired.

Songné Yacouba has left Kotoko after his contract expired at the club with both sides unwilling to meet each other's demands.
Professor Kwame Kyei reteraited that the club won't extend the contract of Songné Yacouba recently at a media briefing in Kumasi and will not sit down with his agency for any contractual talks.

Rash Sports News understands that Songné Yacouba wants to move to foreign club and does not want to play on the continent.

There were suggestions that he will move to Orlando Pirates but Yacouba refused the deal. Many clubs in Africa wants him. Amongst them are; Memolodi Sundowns and Zesco United.

Medeama SC tried to lure him from interested clubs but Rash Sports News understands that they could not reach a deal because Yacouba requested for $100,000 whilst, Medeama SC chief Moses Parker was ready to pay less than that. The deal broke down because Yacouba's demand for a year was too much.

He is likely to return to Burkina Faso if his preference to a foreign club does not materialise.
