Manchester United signs Fernandes from Sporting 

Manchester United has completed the signing of Bruno Fernandes from Sporting CP 



Manchester United has completed the signing of Portuguese playmaker Bruno Fernandes from Sporting CP in a deal worth €80 million. United will initially pay Sporting €58M and €10M in add-ons due to Champions league qualification. 

Sporting could also bank another €15M due to the player's milestone and achievements at Old Trafford. 

Fernandes broke his silence when Speaking to the club's website after he signed his five-and-half contract at Old Trafford 


"My love of Manchester United really started when I used to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play and ever since then I have been a big fan of this great club". He said. 


"For me to now play for Manchester United feels incredible, I have worked hard to get this moment and I can promise the fans that I will give everything for the badge to help bring us more success and trophies.

 I want to thank Sporting for everything they have done for me. It surreal to hear the nice words that have been said from players that  used to play for this team. 

A massive thanks to Ole and everyone at Manchester United for the trust they have shown in me and I can't wait to start to reply that on the pitch".

Ole said "We have been tracking Bruno for many months and everyone here has been tremendously impressed with all hisattributes and what he will bring to team". 

Fernandes will be donning the No.18 jersey at Old Trafford which was previously worn by former club captain Ashley Young and legend Paul Scholes. 

Fernandes will be eligible to feature  against Wolves on Saturday due to him being registered before 12pm on Friday.
